چکیده
227 in Western Province, the 2000 wet season lasted well into July. Nevertheless, humidity levels were moderate (50–60%), and the environment was generally dry and warm (29–31°C). Though we have no direct evidence of the diet of this python in PNG, there were numerous geckos (Hemidactylus frenatus) between the same metal sheets. The live specimen was left in the live collection at the Papua New Guinea National Museum and Art Gallery under the care of Ilaiah Bigilale. It has subsequently died and been accessioned into the museum collection (PNGM 25085).

A new species of the genus Liolaemus (Iguania: Liolaemidae) is described from the province of Tucumán, northwestern Argentina. This new lizard species is a member of the L. boulengeri group and within this group, it is a member of the L. darwinii subgroup. It is found at a site called Los Cardones (Km 98), at an altitude of 2725 m, near Amaicha del Valle, Tucumán province. Including this new sp...
متن کاملNew Patagonian species of Liolaemus (Iguania: Liolaemidae) and novelty in the lepidosis of the southernmost lizard of the world: Liolaemus magellanicus.
We describe a new species within the genus Liolaemus from southeast Argentine Patagonia. This new taxon, Liolaemus yatel sp. nov., presents anatomical traits shared with the Liolaemus lineomaculatus section within the Liolaemus lineomaculatus group, especially the absence of precloacal pores in both sexes. However, Liolaemus yatel sp. nov. does not exhibit trifid dorsal scales, which is a diagn...

A new species of the Andean-Patagonian Liolaemus elongatus clade is described. Liolaemus crandalli sp. nov. differs from other members of its clade by a combination of coloration characters, scale counts and genetic traits. Liolaemus crandalli sp. nov. is known only from an isolated volcanic mountain in northwestern Patagonia above 1500 m.a.s.l. unconnected with other habitat suitable for speci...
متن کاملEvidence of hybridization in the Argentinean lizards Liolaemus gracilis and Liolaemus bibronii (IGUANIA: LIOLAEMINI): an integrative approach based on genes and morphology.
The lizard genus Liolaemus is endemic to temperate South America and includes more than 225 species. Liolaemus gracilis and L. bibronii are closely related species that have large and overlapping geographic distributions, and the objective of this work is to further investigate the L. bibronii-L. gracilis mtDNA paraphyletic pattern previously detected, using an integrative approach, based on mt...
متن کاملA new species of Liolaemus related to L. nigroviridis from the Andean highlands of Central Chile (Iguania, Liolaemidae)
The Liolaemus nigroviridis group is a clade of highland lizards endemic to Chile. These species are distributed from northern to central Chile, and currently there are no cases of sympatric distribution. This study describes a new species, Liolaemus uniformis sp. n., from this group, and provides a detailed morphological characterization and mitochondrial phylogeny using cytochrome-b. Liolaemus...
